International opportunities open up for Irish SMEs. The World’s largest support network for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) has announced a new partnership with 31 Local Enterprise Offices in Ireland.

The Enterprise Europe Network in Ireland is a joint partnership between Enterprise Ireland, Local Enterprise Offices, Dublin Chamber of Commerce and Cork Chamber of Commerce.

In short, it’s an accelerator funding program for inventors.

Each participating company gets €100,000 in exchange for eight percent equity.

New €100 million fund for loans to SMEs

Small and medium businesses in Ireland will soon have ‘easier access’ to credit, loans that will be guaranteed by the EU. A fund of €100 million is the first step.

A new deal between the European Investment Fund and Bank of Ireland will allow the bank to lend SMEs in Ireland a total of €100 million, over the next two years. Loans of between €25,000 and €7.5 million can be sought.
